A women's longevity practice
Your strongest decade hasn't happened yet.
Evidence-based strength coaching, precise programming and yoga philosophy — built for women whose bodies are entering a new chapter, and who intend to write it themselves.
The science
Around 35,
the rules change.
Muscle, bone and hormones begin a slow, silent negotiation. Most women aren't told until the symptoms arrive. We'd rather you arrived first — trained, informed and ahead of the curve.
Brand philosophy
We don't train for summer. We train for seventy — because the strength you build now is the independence you keep later.
Not a yoga brandYoga gives us the philosophy — discipline, attention, steadiness. The barbell gives us the physiology. We refuse to confuse the two.
Not a fitness fadNo challenges, no detoxes, no before-and-afters engineered for the feed. Longevity is quiet, cumulative work.
Not one-size-fits-allEvery protocol here is written for one woman, one body, one calendar. Nothing is templated. Ever.
The Shakti Method
Three disciplines.
One protocol.
Strength
Progressive overload with real weights — programmed, tracked and adjusted every week. Not "toning". Not resistance bands forever. The kind of strength that shows up in bone scans and grocery bags alike.
Wisdom
Yoga as it was meant to be used — philosophy, breath and steadiness of mind. Not as cardio. The practice that keeps you consistent when motivation quietly leaves the room.
Precision
Protein targets, recovery protocols, cycle-aware programming and honest data. Your body is shifting; your plan shifts with it — deliberately, not accidentally.
The readiness check
How ready are you
for forty?
Six honest questions. Toggle what's already true for you — and watch your index respond. Then bring your result to a call, and we will read it together.
I lift weights at least twice a week
My weights have gone up in the last 3 months
I eat protein deliberately, at every meal
I sleep 7+ hours most nights
I have a real destress practice — breath, stillness, or both
I do impact or loading work for my bones
Your index
Start toggling. Every honest answer is a data point — and every gap is trainable.

Meet Tarka
The coach who
refuses to choose.
Strength coach. Yoga practitioner. Health obsessive. Tarka built Shakti on an unfashionable belief: that Indian women deserve both the barbell and the philosophy — and that neither works properly without the other.
"You can't do it with yoga alone. If you want physical fitness, weights are the way. Yoga is for the wisdom — that's why I never mix the two, and never dilute either."
Transformation stories
Quiet work.
Loud results.
What truly sets her apart is her ability to tailor every workout to your body's unique needs. She is incredibly mindful of injuries, limitations, and changing capabilities. And knows exactly how to push you so you continue to grow stronger with every session.
I've had the privilege of training with Tarka through my pregnancy and have now restarted with her postpartum. I truly can't recommend her enough. She played a pivotal role in helping me stay fit, strong, and confident during an important phase of my life.
With her guidance, I reached fitness heights I never thought possible during pregnancy.
Beyond her expertise, Tarka has a wonderfully warm and encouraging personality. She consistently goes above and beyond, not just as a trainer but as a true partner in your fitness journey. Over time, she has also become a close friend, which speaks volumes about the kind of person she is.
What I personally like from your class is your expertise on pain management. I was able to see changes in my body in just 3 months from start day of the class. Your positive approach and adaptable teaching style was a huge plus.
Always pushing my ability forward, listening and understanding my needs and making me feel strong, relaxed and encouraged after the session always feels good to me.
Thank you for being such a great teacher and sharing your knowledge and skills. I really enjoyed learning Yoga with you! And yes, I highly recommend your classes to friends and family.
I started strength training because, as a dancer, I wanted to feel lighter on my feet and move with more ease and control. Grace comes from technique, but strength gives the body power and stability.
I wanted to train my muscles to continue supporting the difficult movements I love, even as the years go by.
With the guidance of my trainer, Tarka, I've been able to build the kind of strength that supports my dance practice and everyday life. She's helped me stay consistent, push limits, and achieve my goals.
For today's women, especially all-rounder super moms, I strongly recommend strength training. It builds not just physical resilience but mental clarity too. Try it — you'll fall in love with it, just like I did.

The philosophy deepens
The final chapter.
Once a quarter, Shakti slows to a stop. The retreat practice is called Setubandha — the bridge — because that is what it is: strength prepares you for stillness, and stillness gives meaning to strength.
Four days of immersive yoga philosophy. No programming. No metrics. Nothing to measure — only breath, attention, and the quiet work that daily life never leaves room for.

One conversation. No scripts, no pressure — just an honest look at where your body is, and what the next decade could hold.
